INDIGO POWDER - 90 g
An Exquisite Ayurvedic Elixir for Sacred Hair Rituals
I. The Essence of Vidhyanjali Indigo
Enter a world of pure, uncompromised botanical luxury. Hand-selected from the wild-crafted, sun-drenched hills of Sojat City, Rajasthan—the global heartland of premium herbal dyes—Vidhyanjali’s Organic Indigo Powder is a celebration of pristine nature.
Crafted with reverence, our hand-picked leaves are gently sun-dried and micro-milled to an ultra-fine, silk-like powder. Free from synthetic chemicals, metallic salts, ammonia, and PPD, this 100% vegan formulation delivers an opulent, deep-conditioning color experience that honors your body and the earth.
II. The Alchemy of Shades
Indigo (Indigofera tinctoria) is a natural shapeshifter. Its pigments interact beautifully with natural hair proteins and henna to conjure a stunning spectrum of luxurious, multi-dimensional shades:
-
Deep Raven Black (The Two-Step Ritual): Apply pure Vidhyanjali Mehandika (Henna) first for an auburn base, followed by our Indigo Powder. This classic pairing unveils a dramatic, rich, midnight-black finish with intense depth and mirror-like shine.
-
Warm Chestnut Brown (The One-Step Blend): Amalgamate equal parts of Henna and Indigo in a single bowl to bathe your hair in warm, chocolatey brown tones with shimmering golden undertones.
-
Midnight Indigo-Blue Highlights: Applied directly to pre-lightened or naturally silver hair, Indigo deposits soft, mesmerizing whispers of deep sapphire and slate blue.
III. Holistic Benefits Beyond Color
While conventional hair dyes strip and weaken the hair, Vidhyanjali’s botanical blend acts as an intensive therapeutic mask:
-
Soothing Scalp Therapy: Naturally cooling properties calm itchy scalps, minimize dandruff, and ward off minor scalp infections.
-
Lustrous Conditioning: Coats each hair shaft, smoothing down wild cuticles to restore natural bounce, silkiness, and volume.
-
Chakra & Sensory Harmony: In traditional color therapy, the magnificent deep blue of natural indigo is known to balance the Crown (Sahasrara) and Root (Muladhara) Chakras—grounding your energy, instilling mental calm, and inviting a sense of profound clarity.
IV. The Ritual of Application
Transform your coloring day into a meditative spa ritual.
Step 1: Prepare the Paste
In a ceramic or glass bowl, mix a sufficient quantity of Vidhyanjali Indigo Powder (adjusting for hair length) with lukewarm water. Stir patiently until it reaches a smooth, velvety, yogurt-like consistency.
Step 2: Activate the Pigment
Allow the paste to rest undisturbed for 15 to 20 minutes. You will notice a majestic, iridescent blue-bronze sheen forming on the surface—this is the pure indigo pigment oxidizing and preparing to bond with your hair.
Step 3: Sacred Application
Wearing gloves, section your dry or slightly damp hair. Apply the paste generously from roots to tips.
Step 4: The Rest Period
Wrap your hair in a warm cap to keep the paste moist and active. Leave it on for 45 to 90 minutes, allowing the botanicals to deeply penetrate. Breathe, relax, and let the earthy aroma soothe your senses.
Step 5: The Reveal
Rinse thoroughly with lukewarm water until the water runs clear. Do not use shampoo for the first 24 to 48 hours. The true depth of your custom indigo shade will continuously mature, deepen, and oxidize over the next two days, revealing its final, breathtaking color.
